Directorship Services Officer
75 Fort Street, PO Box 1350
Amrish Bhugoo joined Estera in April 2017. He is a Directorship Services Officer within the accounting team in Cayman Islands with responsibility of managing liquidation of a large portfolio of corporate structures as well as being part of the Independent Conflict Review team at Estera.
Amrish acts as Liquidator on Cayman entities ranging from Private Companies to Funds and Limited Partnerships which includes overseeing the whole liquidation process from start to finish. This usually involves the drafting of the liquidation documents and completion of relevant filings to the Registrar of Companies as well as Government Gazette Publications.
Amrish is also part of the Independent Conflict Review team at Estera pursuant to the Section 206(3) of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 which makes it unlawful for any investment adviser, directly or indirectly "acting as principal for his own account, knowingly to sell any security to or purchase any security from a client, obtaining the consent of the client to such transaction." Section 206(3) thus imposes a prior consent requirement on any adviser.
This process involves an independent pricing review of those trades and providing written consent to trades ranging from Broadly Syndicated Loans to Middle Market loans.
Amrish has over 10 years of industry experience and has held various positions for a number of large financial institutions in Mauritius and Cayman.
He is qualified accountant and a Fellowship of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
