Assaf Marx joined Estera in 2018 as a member of the Directorship Services team, where his focus is primarily on compliance operations, providing various compliance services to investment funds, corporate structures and structured finance vehicles. He is heavily involved with the operational aspects of FATCA & CRS compliance as well as the AML compliance programmes for Estera’s funds and structured vehicle clients. Assaf is also responsible for providing fiduciary services to the Cryptocurrency industry, specifically: hedge-funds, venture capitals and PE companies, as well as companies launching ICOs.

Prior to joining Estera, Assaf practised as a commercial lawyer in a corporate law firm. His practice involved dealing with tax authorities, commercial contracts and litigations. Additionally, Assaf has five years’ experience as a tax accountant in two of the “Big 4” accounting firms, working predominantly on U.S. compliance.

Assaf is a member of the Israeli Bar Association, the Israeli Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants. Assaf holds a BA in Law and BA in Business Admin. (Majoring in Accounting) from the IDC Herzeliya private university in Israel.
