Estera has further strengthened and expanded its senior team, with the appointment of Karen Benest to a newly-created role of Group Operations Director.

The role reflects Estera’s continued expansion and recent acquisitions, extending its global reach to an additional three jurisdictions - Luxemburg, Malta and the UK.

Karen will work alongside the Chief Operating Officer, Richard Gaskin, to execute strategic and tactical operational change within the Estera Group, while ensuring excellent operational service delivery, adherence to group wide regulatory and statutory standards, and proactive risk management.

CEO Farah Ballands said: “The need to introduce this new role demonstrates the successful growth of our business, and how operations have been critical in this progression. Operational excellence is vital in terms of our future growth, and Karen’s skills, knowledge and years of experience at Estera make her the ideal candidate for this role.”

“I am delighted to name Karen as Group Operations Director, and I would like to offer my personal congratulations and look forward to working closely with her in this new position.”

Joining Estera as an Associate Director in 2003, Karen was appointed to the Board later that year, a position she will continue to hold. She has been instrumental in driving the growth of the Jersey business and developing its operational framework. With her extensive client experience, Karen brings a service excellence approach to the operational infrastructure which she will continue to promote within the wider Estera group. Karen is also an Associate of the Institute of Financial Services.
