Estera leading global provider of fiduciary and administration services has taken over sponsorship of the 2018 Frostbite series following the acquisition of Heritage Financial Services Group, which previously ran the initiative.

The yachting event, organised by Royal Channel Islands Yacht Club (RCIYC), is a series of seven yacht races held between January and March each year. Estera’s support will help towards the running costs for the event, prizes for the winners and refreshments for the participants of each race.

Mark Huntley, Director at the Heritage Group, said: “We have sponsored the Frostbite series for the past 10 years, and over this time it has evolved into the best-supported yacht racing series in the Channel Islands, with up to 24 boats participating in seven races. It is a fantastic event and we hope the series will go from strength to strength with new sponsorship, now as Estera”

Mel Torode, Operations Director at Estera said: “Having an impact on the communities in which we live and work is really important to us. The Frostbite series is a great event to be part of, and we hope our support ensures a successful 2018 for RCIYC and the participants.”

Julia Schaefer, Rear Commodore (Sail), Royal Channel Islands Yacht Club, added: “The Frostbite Series maintains the challenge of racing in Guernsey during the harsher months, with a fantastic number of sailors rising keenly to the challenge each year. We have had superb support from Heritage over the years, without whose sponsorship this series would never have developed as well as it has, and we look forward to continuing our excellent relationship with Estera”

Heritage Financial Services Group will rebrand as Estera this January.
