Estera Bermuda Managing Director, Alison Dyer will take part in a panel discussion at the Bermuda Executive Forum in London on 26th November. Alison is the Managing Director of Estera in Bermuda, a global, market leading provider of corporate, fund and trust services.
The Bermuda Executive Forum features panel discussions from experts across multiple industries providing insight about new opportunities in a jurisdiction that is ideally positioned for global business.
Alison’s panel is titled ‘Wealth Management Solutions’ and will focus on Bermuda as a centre of excellence for the formation and servicing of a wide variety of wealth management solutions. The panel will discuss the most recent judgement in the 'Zhang Hong Li v DBS Bank and others case' and demonstrate how the decision in the case will now apply to most trust jurisdictions including Bermuda. The case, which has been the focus of many discussions in the private client and trust space involves a wealthy client looking to recover losses from an investment made through the bank.

Alison has a long history of sitting on boards of Bermuda companies as an independent director; and provides commentary on the Bermuda funds and investment services, and private equity industries. Alison has extensive experience in private equity transactions, derivatives, public and private company M&A activity, equity and debt markets, and partnerships in relation to both their formation and ongoing transactions. She leads the members’ voluntary liquidation practice, acting as liquidator in most cases.
