Our ESG approach is led by our culture, values and how we conduct our business. We give serious consideration to the impact our business activities may have, not only on our clients and employees, but also in the local communities in which we operate.

Our people are our business. All our employees are treated fairly and ethically and we aim to provide an environment in which employees feel valued and engaged and can perform to the utmost of their abilities.
We understand that ESG issues, and how we respond to them, play a deciding factor in where today’s and tomorrow’s stars choose to work.
We invest in developing our people. A wide variety of ‘e-learning’ modules are available for all employees and we fully support employees to fulfil their career ambitions by becoming professionally qualified.
Equal opportunities for both men and women are supported at every level. Women can sometimes be under-represented in fiduciary businesses, and we are proud of the high percentage (60%) of women we have throughout our organisations, especially in senior leadership roles.

Our global compliance function ensures that we work to international standards of risk management and compliance and all members of staff are provided with regular and ongoing training across a variety of topics ranging from anti-bribery and corruption to understanding and managing cyber-security risk.
Our globally aligned operations team ensures that processes are in place and adherence to those processes is monitored to protect our clients’ interests. We focus on protecting our clients’ data, introducing new products and services in the right way, ensuring we are compliant with the evolving regulatory landscape and engaging staff on information and cyber security.
Helping to safeguard the future and giving back to our communities
Estera cares about the environment and supports safeguarding it for future generations. We aim to limit the impact our business operations have on the environment and are committted to reducing waste, minimising the amount of paper we use, supporting local recycling and proactively implementing energy saving initiatives where possible.
We encourage our employees to ‘think green’. Our ‘Estera Think Green Committee’ meets regularly and makes ‘best practice’ environmental recommendations to our Executive Board, which are implemented across the group.
Where we can, we choose to work with local suppliers, thereby supporting the local communities in which we operate. We help our employees play a broader role in these communities through our Corporate Social Responsibility activities, including supporting charitable causes and initiatives, encouraging employee volunteering and supporting humanitarian appeals such as global disaster relief.
We ensure that we are compliant with all local laws and regulations and are subject to independent audits from regulators and clients.
