Gary O’Connor joined Estera (formerly Appleby) in the Isle of Man following the acquisition of Caledonian in 2013, where he was the Financial Controller, responsible for the Isle of Man finance department and the company’s client accounting unit.

Gary has over 19 years’ industry experience and started his career with PwC in the Isle of Man. He has held senior financial positions in a number of organisations including Caledonian Fund Services (Europe) Limited, Caledonian Trust (IOM) Limited and Thomas Miller (Isle of Man) Limited.

Gary is currently a client director in the Isle of Man office and is also a director of Estera Fund Services (Isle of Man) Limited. His principal focus is the financial and operational management of the Isle of Man office and client accounting division.

With a strong background in financial services, Gary has also been closely involved in the administration and orderly wind-down of licenced banking corporations and investment fund portfolios.

Gary is a qualified accountant and a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

A senior figure from Estera, a leading provider of fiduciary and administration services, has been named 'Director of the Year'. Gary O'Connor received the pretigious award at the Institute of Directors (IoD) Isle of Man Spring Lunch on 19 May held at the Sefton Hotel. It was attended by members of the IoD and guest speaker Ian Rowland, a corporate speaker, trainer and consultant who has worked with the FBI and British Olympics Team.
