Estera, a world-leading fiduciary and administration services provider, announces that Client Director Sarah Demerling was a featured speaker at the Regulatory Compliance Association’s recent Women’s Summit in Southampton, Bermuda.
Sarah Demerling participated in the Women in Asset Management & Regulation Summit, which took place on April 17 in conjunction with the RCA’s Regulation, Operations and Compliance Symposium. The summit featured high profile women in the asset management and regulation field sharing their personal experiences to surmount numerous career challenges and obstacles.
Demerling was joined by Molly Diggins of the Monument Group, Alison Morrison of Oyster Consulting and Sandra Forman of NorthStar Asset Management in a round-table discussion moderated by Proskauer Rose partner Robin Painter. The panel addressed topics such as personal brand, considering the effects and needs of millennials in the work place, and how to encourage professional success.
Demerling has been involved in the financial services industry in Bermuda for over 14 years and has extensive experience in dealing with offshore structures. She was formerly a partner within the corporate practice of Appleby Law in Bermuda where she specialised in the asset management and investment funds industry, as well as the convergence of insurance and financial markets.
The RCA supports a community of over 80,000 compliance, legal and operations executives from regulatory authorities, institutional investors and alternative investment and asset management firms.
She now focuses on helping clients navigate best practices in corporate governance and compliance in her role as an independent director.
